How to Make Money with Squidoo Marketing
Make Money with Squidoo Marketing
I am trying to learn how to make money with Squidoo marketing tactics. I joined Squidoo on March 25, 2011 when I was making a link wheel for one of my other websites. In the process of making a Squidoo lens for this link wheel, I became addicted to Squidoo! It really is a fun way to create single-page websites that you can use to add backlinks to your other sites and maybe even make a little money in the process.
Today is April 09, so it’s been just over two weeks since I made my first lens. I have now created 30 lenses as of this morning. My Squidoo earnings were 11 cents yesterday, but this morning it was up to 95 cents, plus I had a $100 sale last night as well, which will earn me a couple of dollars. The money isn’t exactly pouring in, but I think it’s a good start. It looks like there may be some potential to make money with Squidoo marketing.
Can You Make Money with Squidoo Marketing
The short answer is, “Yes, I think you can make money with Squidoo marketing.” There seems to be a lot of people who make money with Squidoo, but it doesn’t seem to be a quick pathway to riches, if that’s what you’re looking for. I think to make money with Squidoo, it takes patience and consistency. It may take a few months to a year to earn $800 – $1,000 a month or more. The idea is to constantly be creating new Squidoo lenses and improving the lenses you have. If you make a new lens every day, you’ll have 365 lenses at the end of a year. In two years, you would have 730 lenses. I imagine that your Squidoo earnings would be rather substantial at that point.
I think maybe you can see how it builds up over a period of time. But I think the key to make money with Squidoo marketing is to build relevant lenses that can attract attention year round. You also need to have a plan. I have a plan.
My Plan to Make Money with Squidoo Marketing
One thing I’ve noticed about Squidoo is that the most popular lenses have no real rhyme or reason to them. They are on completely random topics. To see what the top 100 lenses on Squidoo are right now, go to: http://www.squidoo.com/browse/top_lenses
I’ve also noticed that recipes do well on Squidoo. This seems like an easy market to me. Recipes are not copyrighted, or at least the ingredient list is not, and there are TONS of private label rights to recipes available. Post four or five recipes for omelets and then take advantage of Squidoo’s built-in affiliate marketing modules to create Amazon recommendations for cookbooks. While you’re at it, why not omelet pans, mixing bowls, spatulas, or any kitchen utensils. Or how about eBay? Know an omelet recipe information product on Clickbank? Throw it in there too.
My idea is to find “how to” phrases that get a fairly high search volume, but have a fairly low amount of competition and then build a Squidoo lens around it. This is particularly good for phrases that fit the criteria, but don’t merit building a whole site around. If the lens starts making money, then maybe consider building a site around the phrase.
