Why I Hate Hubpages
I Hate Hubpages
It’s a personal vendetta of mine. I hate Hubpages. Never mind wondering if you can make money on Hubpages, you should be wondering if you can get hubs published on Hubpages. I only have two active Hubpages right now out of ten attempts. I can’t promise that I’ll even get to keep the two I have! Twice I’ve had hubs approved only to come back a few days later and they’ve been removed! Someone approved them to be published, then someone else comes along and decides that the hub “doesn’t meet Hubpages quality standards.” They don’t tell you what the standard is though. They won’t tell you what about the hub doesn’t meet their standard. They will revoke your membership if you resubmit the same hub too many times and it fails to be approved. This is why I hate Hubpages.
More Reasons Why I Hate Hubpages
First of all, it blows my mind that one person can approve the hub to be published, only to have someone else reject it a couple of weeks later. Just how it suddenly became unacceptable beats me. From what I can tell, there is no real standard; it’s all judgment calls from some pimple-faced teen with a bad attitude for all I know. Or maybe someone who had a competing Hubpage?
One hub that was rejected was from a PLR article that I had bought and re-written. The original PLR article was in its unaltered form already on the website! Yet, mine was rejected as resembling an article that had been spun. Yet, I had re-written it myself. I just kept to the same basic outline, but changed the content completely. An unaltered version of that PLR article is published on Hubpages, but mine is rejected. Yes, I hate Hubpages.
Better yet, I wrote a person review on RoboForm. I LOVE RoboForm, couldn’t live without it. I wanted to write an article about it. It got rejected. Why? Too personal. It read like a personal narrative, so they rejected it and suggested I re-write it. So I did. They rejected it again. Why? Because it was too commercial. Too much similar content on the website already. Oh, yes. I hate Hubpages. I published the original version of my review for RoboForm here on my own blog. Read it and tell me if it seems “too personal” to you. My RoboForm Review
To be honest, one of the hubs that I have published right now on Hubpages IS a re-write I did on another PLR article. Go figure! One makes it, another doesn’t. I HATE HUBPAGES!
Have I Told You I Hate Hubpages
Just because I hate Hubpages, will I stop using them? No. They’re an essential part of my link wheel strategy. Will I actively attempt to publish hubs on Hubpages? Hell no! Not when I’ve got Squidoo, which I love! Can you make money on Hubpages? I don’t know, I can’t! I can’t hardly get a damn hub published, let alone make money on Hubpages!
I hate Hubpages.
